Welcome to The BEAT
The B.E.A.T stands for Beginning to Explore Adoption Together. We created this site to give adoptee a chance to discover more about adoption & identity, connect with others online, express thoughts and feelings around adoption, and hear from others with similar experiences. It's a place for you to share your voice.
This is the home site for The BEAT where we celebrate the diversity of adoption, offer adoption & identity resources, and share stories about adoptees in the media. You can connect with other adopted teens through our social media pages. You can check us out, and connect on our Twitter Feed, Facebook page, YouTube channel, and Instagram.
The adoptee community here supports the ongoing Black Lives Matter movement. Some resources can be found by clicking below.
“‘The best way to stop the spread of coronavirus is to wash your hands, not perpetuate racist stereotypes,’ the letter reads. “We ask for your help in spreading this message, to help stem both the public health crisis and the deeply disturbing racism targeting the Asian American community.” -Kimmy Yam (NBC article)
